FIRST STEPS SHOTGUN - BASIC LEVEL
OUTLINE: This class is designed by the NRA to provide beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a shotgun safely. It is also a great refresher course for a shooter that feels their basic skills are rusty.
This is a Basic Skills class.
Topics covered in the course include:
- 1) Safe Shotgun Handling
- 2) Shotgun Parts and Operation
- 3) Ammunition Selection and Handling Ammunition Malfunctions
- 4) Fundamentals of Shooting a Shotgun
- 5) Shooting Targets (Stationary & Moving)
- 6) Cleaning & Storing your Shotgun
- 7) Training Opportunities
The course is 3 hours and the cost is $150. per person.
Requirements:
- 12 gauge Pump or Semi-Auto Shotgun;
- Eye & ear protection;
- 30 rounds low recoil 00 buckshot
