FIRST STEPS RIFLE - BASIC LEVEL

OUTLINE: This class is designed by the NRA to provide beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a rifle safely. It is also a great refresher course for a shooter that feels their basic skills are rusty.

This is a Basic Skills class.

Topics covered in the course include:

  • 1) Safe Rifle Handling
  • 2) Rifle Parts and Operation
  • 3) Ammunition Selection and Handling Ammunition Malfunctions
  • 4) Fundamentals of Shooting a Rifle
  • 5) Shooting Targets (Stationary & Moving)
  • 6) Cleaning & Storing your Rifle
  • 7) Training Opportunities

The course is 3 hours and the cost is $150. per person.

Requirements:

  • Rifle;
  • Eye & ear protection;
  • 50 rounds of ammunition
